Limited knowledge on hydraulics conditions of study area, uncertainties of flood risks levels, potential impacts to water quality and sediment transport are among various issues posed while working within the water environment – be it a river, a reservoir, an ocean, a coastline, within a city or a factory – has long been a challenge to engineers.
The present talk organized by DHI and co-hosted by IEM Sabah will introduce to the participant a general overview on how the usage of modelling tools assist in generating solutions to address tough water environmental issues. At the same time, DHI speakers from Malaysia will share their experiences of example of practical case studies conducted using MIKE.
